Valenciso Reserva 2001 2001 750ml

Valenciso Reserva 2001 2001 750ml

Founded for the 1998 vintage by Luis Valentín and Carmen Enciso, (Valen-Ciso), Rioja natives with extensive experience in the making, tasting and commercialization of Rioja wines. Minority partners include former managers of Radoux, makers of the finest French oak barriques, and growers in the best areas of the Rioja Alta. Valencisos objective is to produce a single wine of the highest quality and authenticity, released as Reserva. Aromatic volume rather than physical weight (in the manner of French Burgundy and the greatest Riojas of the past) is the Valenciso ideal. Wine Spanish Still Wine Read More

Bodegas Muga Rioja Reserva 2004 750ml

Bodegas Muga Rioja Reserva 2004 750ml

Mr. Isaac Muga opened his first cellar in 1932, establishing the artisan work that was so well accepted in the market over the years. At his death in 1969, his sons Manuel and Isaac took over the management and winemaking of the winery. We could label this winery as the most traditionalist Rioja producer. Bodegas Muga is located in the historical Barrio de La Estación (railway station district) in Haro. The facilities (270,000 square foot) are two centuries old, built mainly of stone and oak. In fact, oak is paramount in the winery. There are 200 oak deposits as well as 14,000 barrels, made out of different types of oak ranging from French oak (Allier, Tronçais or Jupilles), American, Hungarian, Russian and even the small consignment of Spanish oak.. The 2004 Muga Reserva is dark ruby-colored with an enticing nose of pain grille, pencil lead, crushed stone, and blackberry. This leads to an elegant wine with layers of flavor, several years of aging potential, and a lengthy finish. Jay Miller Wine Advocate . Read More
