Sedan , BMW, 2006, 5 Seats, 3.0L - 6 Cylinders
While 3-Series sedans and wagons are redesigned for 2006, coupes and convertibles continue with a design introduced for 1999. These models have rear-wheel drive and inline 6-cyl engines. The 325 versions have a 185-hp 2.5-liter, 330 models a 225-hp 3.0, M3 editions a 333-hp 3.2. The 325s offer a 5-speed manual transmission or 5-speed automatic. M3s offer a 6-speed manual or BMW's 6-speed Sequential Manual Gearbox. This sequential manual transmission (SMT) is essentially a manual transmission without a clutch pedal. Gear changes are via a floor shifter or steering-wheel paddles; it can also be set to shift like an automatic.

Review: I just bought a 2006 BMW 320i, fully geared, 7month ago. It's a really nice small car, with good power and control. I've experienced NO problems with the car so far. some highlights: -) outer air monitoring system, allows you to get in fresh air... Read Full Review by howaa, Jan 10, 2007
Pros: Legendary performance and handling justify the price
Cons: The price
The Bottom Line: The comsummate sports sedan can also pull luxury duty. Better than the competition at everything except traffic.
Review: As part of my recent search for a"Lawyer Car", I test drove the new 2006 BMW 325i. I'll come right out and say that I have dreamt of owning a new BMW for 22 years, ever since I started driving and test drove a new 1984 318i. There is just something... So, What Do You Do For An Encore?
Pros: The same strengths as before--torquey engines, athletic handling, exquisite balance--plus a bit more edge.
Cons: Some technology is complex for complexity's sake. Don't expect a bargain price, either.
The Bottom Line: BMW has taken everything that was right with the last 3-Series, and turned all the screws down a bit tighter. Consider the 3's case for best-in-class renewed.
Review: My Experience After the resounding success of the popular previous-generation 3-Series, BMW's engineers must have felt like a rock band after the best gig of their lives:"Aw, man, you guys were awesome! It just doesn't get any... Read Full Review by drive571, Sep 20, 2007
Pros: improved power, safety, handling, refinement, resale, free maintenance
Cons: Styling could be better, snob image is annoying, so-so seats, price
The Bottom Line: If road feel and connection with a quiet smooth ride matters more than features, buy one. If you just want luxury, there are better choices for less.
Review: My wife and I recently purchased a new 2006 E90 BMW 325i. Black, black interior, with automatic transmission and power seats w/ memory as the only options. This is our third BMW. We had previously owned two 540's we bought used, with love/hate... Read Full Review by brucec32, Sep 2, 2007
BMW 2006 325i'Asleep At The Wheel'Review
Pros: Brakes. Safety. Xenon headlights. Warranty. Finish/fit. iPOD Connection. Predicted reliability. 6-Speed GearBox Manual Transmission.
Cons: Boring. Uneventful. Sluggish. Too'Lexus'. Too'Infiniti'. Run-Flat Tires. Small rims.
The Bottom Line: I'm so bored already.
Review: I love BMW's. I love driving and I especially love the connection I get from a BMW to the highway itself. I know little about automobiles except what I feel good in. I'm a 4-time BMW owner (all 3-Series) and the overall reasons I have been attracted... Read Full Review by benicia, Oct 5, 2005
The end of history and the last car (now reviews both 325i and 330i)
Pros: Perfect ride-handling balance, quick steering, supportive seats, driving position
Cons: Steering could use a bit more feel, interior could be richer, high price
The Bottom Line: Get the 325 with Sport Package. And pay very close attention to the instruments.
Review: I should admit up front that I've been fighting to keep myself from liking BMWs for much of the past quarter-century. I have my reasons. They're expensive. And even people who know nothing about cars like to argue how great BMWs are. Still, it's a big... Read Full Review by mkaresh, Oct 5, 2006
