Pros: Design, functions
Cons: Price, size
The Bottom Line: null
Review: This looks incredible. The touch screen is definitely the wave of the future. Very responsive screen. Maybe it's just me but it seems to able to distinguish accidental from purposeful touches fairly well. Lots of options and functions but I wish the made... A cut above with some serious flaws.
Pros: Internet, music, games, video, full color, big screen.
Cons: Needs PC for charging and first bootup, no flash plugins, limited compatibility with streams, downloads.
The Bottom Line: definitely buy it, but be aware of serious drawbacks. Worth the money.
Review: I have never owned an iPod until I got the Touch. For one thing, why would I want to pay $200 or more to play mp3 files when I could get a cheap player for $25? Not very cost effective if you ask me. Then came the iPhone, which was WAY cooler than the... Read Full Review by sunwolf, Apr 23, 2008
More than just an iphone without phone
Pros: slim, good design, innovative, many useful features, mp3-player of the future
Cons: no phone, expensive compared to what is on the market
The Bottom Line: null
Review: The new Ipod touch, the thinnest ipod ever and features so far not able to get on your mp3-player. This new Ipod is the best one so far (except the iphone, which is basically the same). Built on touch screen technology it is easy to use and fast to... Read Full Review by nilssc413, Apr 23, 2008
Too cool for words (but 5,000 of them will have to do)
Pros: "See me / Feel me / Touch me "
Cons: That this review uncomfortably recalls my history as a technical writer.
The Bottom Line: I sincerely doubt that anyone will read this entire review.
Review: It’s a small man who derives self-worth from his possessions. But I am a small, small man, and Apple’s iPod Touch is a pretty awesome possession. Combining the refined music playback functionality and good looks of six generations of mp3 players... Read Full Review by headlessparrot, Apr 16, 2008
Good music/video player with PDA functions&a revolutionary touch screen
Pros: Screen, Design, WiFi, Battery Life, Ease of Use, VERY IMPRESSIVE deivce
Cons: Single computer sync, no chat or document programs, no bluetooth
The Bottom Line: With a large solid state disk, a fantastic screen, and WiFi capabilities this device will please the consumer who wants more than just a basic music player.
Review: Introduction Apple has turned many heads with its release of the iPhone, and subsequent release of iPhone styled iPods. To call the iPod Touch impressive would be the understatement of the year... It has a multi-touch responsive screen, wifi, a 16GB... Read Full Review by josheya, Mar 19, 2008
Pros: Vast feature list, email, internet, music player, stocks; easy user interface.
Cons: Battery life, no physical lock switch.
The Bottom Line: Buy it, the best iPod yet.
Review: For over half a decade, Apple has been creating the most popular selling mp3 player of a generation. The iPod has spanned nine years, four versions, and branched from portable music player to symbolic icon of an era. The iPod Touch, Apple’s 6th... Read Full Review by kdeskins, Feb 15, 2008
Is It an iPod on Steroids or an iPhone Lite? Either Way, A Cool Gadget
Pros: Great wireless applications, easy to use, video screen is great
Cons: Quick battery depletion, less memory than other iPods
The Bottom Line: The cool factor is undeniable, and like all iPods, it blends form and function seamlessly.
Review: Yes, I now have a third—count‘em—iPod, cementing my status as an iPod and gadget geek. To be fair though, my latest iPod , an iPod touch, was a reward for a hellacious project at work, and we all earned that reward, and then some. The iPod Touch (in... Fun toy!, Couple of Major Drawbacks, Worth Just a Bit Under Retail
Pros: Awesome video quality/playback, GUI is intuitive and fun, easy to upgrade/add features
Cons: No radio, sound quality lacks, some upgrades cost, syncing appointments flawed, flash unsupported
The Bottom Line: Purchase if you are a video hound. Simplified PDA. Browsing easier than most PDAs, unless you're viewing Flash content. Very cool device, worth just shy of ~$400 pricetag.
Review: SUMMARY: This little thing is quite fun to use. I have had it for about 2.5 weeks and I figured the novelty would wear off, but not yet. It helps that Apple has provided a couple of key updates to the player since I bought it. There are a few minor... Read Full Review by hyperlin-, Jan 19, 2008
Pros: Amazing touch screen, super easy to use, beautiful design, small&lightweight
Cons: No bluetooth, funky Wi-Fi antenna
The Bottom Line: Fantastic high tech device, amazing design, good capacity, lots of features, and the software gets better and better!
Review: I'm extremely happy with my 16GB iPod touch! I couldn't believe how thin it was! I figured it'd be roughly the same dimensions of the iPhone but this puppy is much thinner! I ordered directly from Apple.com and got free (and amazingly fast shipping)... Read Full Review by charlesp2001, Dec 30, 2007
Terrible product for users on the go
Pros: Safari browser. Wi-fi capabilities. Video capabilities.
Cons: Cannot operate without looking at it. Touch feature fails. You may get robbed.
The Bottom Line: null
Review: Sure it's an ipod. Yes it has a flashy screen. But I thought the point of the ipod was to be a portable listening device. What good is a device if you can't operate it without pulling it out of your pocket, stopping to fiddle with the various buttons... Read Full Review by filmingdavid, Dec 15, 2007
The best thing I bought this year.
Pros: Easy to use, internet access, bigger display than video ipods
Cons: hard to get wifi access sometimes, volume control is hard to adjust sometimes
The Bottom Line: null
Review: I love the wifi, music and video features. I have a extensive library so I had to pick my music and video carefully otherwise it wouldn't fit. There is a security code and display lock... Read Full Review by jaclyn27, Dec 13, 2007
Pros: Start of the art funky MP3 player with add ons
Cons: Cocky oversights on Apples part
The Bottom Line: Great MP3 player but not for begginners
Review: For the best part of 5 years my MP3 player has been part of my mobile phone, for whatever reason (I can't explain it myself) I have felt the need to separate the two for some time; however I never really liked any MP3 player on the market. And let me... Read Full Review by sghawken, Nov 23, 2007
iPod Touch - the link between classic iPods and iPhone
Pros: Innovative touch technology, beautiful screen, wifi, Safari browsing, great audio and video performance, slim design
Cons: Back scratches easily, battery life can be less if watching longs videos, no"touch"typing
The Bottom Line: Brilliant design, looks and performance, all in one product. The iPod Touch is the natural evolution of the iPod classic, and fills the gap between yesterday's iPods and the iPhone.
Review: I am a fairly late iPod convert, only picking up my first iPod - a 60GB iPod video - last year. I was very happy with the iPod, although I have to admit that viewing videos could be trying at times, due to the tiny screen. I almost passed up the... Read Full Review by Eutek, Oct 18, 2007
iPod Touch 16GB- Beauty at the brink of some awesome technology
Pros: Slim, lightweight, stunning, Wi-fi, Safari, beautiful graphics
Cons: Back case scratches easily, controls difficult to work"blind", no hard drive capability
The Bottom Line: A beautiful MP3 player that changes the entire MP3 field. Is it perfect? No. But, I hope this ushers in all new technological advances!
Review: I wouldn't consider myself a Mac geek exactly. I do own a Macbook Pro, which I mostly use to run Windows (my only copy of Photoshop is Windows based unfortunately). I have a tendency to fall behind when updating my Macs with the latest OS. The last Mac... Read Full Review by xxskagirlxx, Dec 29, 2007
Not bad for an iPhone with no phone
Pros: Bigger screen, flash memory, wi-fi browsing, sleek look, etc
Cons: Expensive, no click wheel, no keyboard for internet browsing, etc
The Bottom Line: null
Review: I sampled the new iPod touch over the last weekend. This isn't quite the revolution Steve Jobs might think it is, but it is fairly impressive, particularly in terms of wi-fi functionality. For those of you who have held off on the iPhone due to price,... Read Full Review by xsonsauce, Sep 20, 2007
