Game Pad, Cable Connectivity, 10 Buttons, Color: Black, For: PC Platforms
The BELKIN n50 SpeedPad is the first gaming device of its kind, a completely new gaming tool that transcends conventional categories such as gamepads and joysticks. The SpeedPad can be best described as a combination keyboard and gamepad. The 10 keys on the n50 act as keys on a keyboard, with the advantage of being easily accessible and intuitively configured. The n50 also has an eight-way directional pad, much like the D-pad on a standard gamepad. It's an innovative, multipurpose tool that will lift your gaming experience to a whole new level.

Great idea and design, my brother likes it, but not me.
Pros: Easily scripted, TONS of keys (80 actions maximum!), great design, cheap ($20 at worst)
Cons: Not for the big-handed, software is sometimes a pain.
The Bottom Line: Great for average gamer or hardcore, an excellent addition to any computer. But try before you buy, or at least be able to return it (online buying not recommended).
Review: Well, I bought this for my brother (birthday present), and he certainly likes it. He uses it in EVERY game we have. I don't, for a couple reasons. 1) It's... small. I've got big hands though. I have to bunch up my hand to hit the keys... Read Full Review by groxx, Jul 14, 2004

Review: My home office's"personal work area"has been evolving over the last ten years, and one of the more recent additions I've made to it is the Nostromo N50 SpeedPad. Review: I'm using this on a Windows XP machine, with Sid Meyer's Civiliation III game. I can finally push my keyboard aside with this new device. I've customized the SpeedPad to handle all of Civ's keyboard commands (keypad simulation, function keys,... Read Full Review by valeski, Nov 15, 2002
Register your left hand as a lethal weapon!

Review: The PC keyboard has always been a blessing and a curse for PC gamers. It was never really designed to move secret agents through hallways, or simulate the cockpit of the latest stealth fighter, was it? Yet, it has survived because PC gamers are... Read Full Review by 3rdalarm, Nov 30, 2001
Need to improve your gaming frag count?
Pros: Small, easy to install&setup, will improve your gaming frag count.
Cons: No new profiles available via internet.
The Bottom Line: I would recommend this for gamers who enjoy first person shooters. The price they ask is fair and not over costly like some gaming gadgets (Orb comes to mind.)
