Defective design or quality makes 800 JEXL unacceptable
Pros: Metal parts clean easier and most vegs don't have to be cut before dropping in.
Cons: Very poor performance. Maybe very poor quality control.
The Bottom Line: Don't buy it. Fatal design flaws and/or poor manufacturing. There is really no excuse for what happened, especially at that price!
Review: I already have a Trillium Juiceman Jr and Moulinex Le Juicer. They both work, but they have small feeder capacity&are hard to clean, and plastic parts stain. So I shopped for a better one, regardless of expense. The Breville Juice Foutain Elite... Read Full Review by dontconme, May 16, 2008
Best spent money on health, quality product&function!
Pros: does what it's supposed to do; solidly built; juices almost anything
Cons: extremely LOUD; a huge appliance to have on the counter.
The Bottom Line: Solid, quality product - well built, heavy, durable and can do exactly what it's supposed to: juice the juice outta everything in the fridge. Wear earplugs.
Review: So I did my research. I dug and dug and read a million articles&reviews, knowing that I was about to drop 2 or 3 hundred bucks on a juicer... and I came up with this. The Breville 800JEXL is a solid powerhorse&I love it. It's now been 6 months of... Read Full Review by cassiopiah, Feb 11, 2008
Pros: Powerful; efficient; stainless steel; easy to use; easy cleanup; 2-speed; great company.
Cons: Somewhat more expensive than other brands.
The Bottom Line: Although this is a comparatively higher priced machine than many others, I believe it is well worth the extra cost because of its efficiency and solid build.
Review: This is the fourth juicer I have owned over the past several years and without reservations I can say that it will probably be my last. If it breaks, I will fix it. If it wears out, I will buy another one just like it. Until someone makes a better one I... Read Full Review by newtownbeans, Feb 9, 2008

Pros: Fast,handles whole fruits/vegetables,large volume juice,easy cleanup,looks fantastic
Cons: Slight drip from spout when done and pitcher is removed. No biggie.
The Bottom Line: null
Review: I researched when planning on purchasing a juicer. Decided to step up and purchase this model - and I could not be happier. It is used daily and there is no problem with operation or clean-up. I agree with previous review which suggest a no-drip spout,... Read Full Review by joedylynn, Jan 29, 2008
Pros: Clean up is very easy. It is built very well, and it is beautiful.
Cons: I have a small kitchen and its is a large Juicer but well worth it.
The Bottom Line: null
Review: I bought it at William Sanoma and I live it! I feel so good when I have the Juice I make. My favorite is Green Apple,Ginger,Carrot,Beet. Soooo Good. Thanks Breville... Read Full Review by veganboy1, Jan 13, 2008
Pros: Powerful, quiet, easy to clean - juices very well
Cons: leaks juice, cannot feed it while running and empty feed tube.
The Bottom Line: After figuring out the machines quirks, juicing is quick. An off-centered feed tube might solve its problems, and would investigate units of that design before purchasing this one.
Review: After 10 years of using a poorly balanced Juiceman, my wife decided to purchase a new juicer. She first bought the smaller Breville, but after the first use, I told her to return it, because the waste chute filled much to quickly. She then brought home... Pros: 32 oz in less than 1 minute. Quiet.
Cons: Only filter fits in my dishwasher. Filter $60+ Top&filter not very hygenic.
The Bottom Line: I would purchase this juicer again due to its convenience. Follow my tips, and you can overcome most of the cons that I listed.
Review: I've used this juicer for about 5 months and I don't regret it. I juice every morning. Usually it is a combination of Granny Smith apples, Pink Lady or Fuji Apples, and Fresh Ginger root. I have juiced carrots&cabbage juice on occasion. Due to... Read Full Review by computer-girl, Apr 22, 2007
My Daddy Juice study: Breville 800 Replacement Basket
Pros: Cleans up pretty well, kids love the juice-this effectively gets vegetables into my kids.
Cons: The pitcher gets discolored, the sheen is gone, expect to scrub parts after juicing
The Bottom Line: As my first juicer I was skeptical. My family wouldn't drink what appeared to be sewage. But after tasting the juices we all became fans.
Review: I've been using my juicer for about a year, and use it about once a week. We love the first recipe in the book, carrots, celery, apples, the first recipe I made. While apprehensive at first because of the juice appearance and the separation that... Read Full Review by williambnorton, Dec 22, 2006
Pros: surprisingly efficient extraction, huge feed chute, two speeds, handsome, easy cleanup
Cons: waste bin a little hard to line up, spout could use drip-stop feature
The Bottom Line: If you want a convenient, attractive juicer that makes you anticipate the produce aisle with enthusiasm, this is it.
Review: Inexpensive juice extractors, with their narrow feed chutes and wastefully wet ejected pulp, encourage only occasional use. Still, if you have never juiced before, it’s worth getting one of these cheapos just to experience the remarkable flavors of... Read Full Review by thecurtmudgeon, Mar 9, 2006
First I was so proud and now I am very disappointed
Pros: Extra large juice feeding chute makes juicing very fast, quick assembly and quick clean up
Cons: Poor construction leads to juicing bowl having juice squirting and running from poor seal
The Bottom Line: If you juice occasionally then the Breville 800 may be for you. However, if you use it heavily think twice, because it is not a heavy duty juicer.
Review: I bought this product because of the exceptionally positive reviews it had on Amazon.com and epinions.com websites. After buying the Breville 900, I thought I would upgrade to a better model that would not have the poor quality that resulted in the... Read Full Review by epi777, Dec 23, 2005
Pros: Powerful motor, creamier juice, fast, stylish
Cons: it spoils you for all the creative juices you keep making everyday
The Bottom Line: This is the best juicer that normal person can buy that can give professional juicing experience.
Review: Undoubtedly the best juicer ever...Real stainless steel pro. I just can't describe the feeling this machine gives you. I saw it sitting next to product from Philips, Kenwood, Braun and all those brands...who wants to be in race but are behind by 2-5... Read Full Review by samarth, Sep 23, 2005
Pros: Large intake, looks great, does not spew stuff, fairly easy clean up.
Cons: price, but I suppose worth it for what you get.
The Bottom Line: null
Review: My husband and I bought this juicer about 6 weeks ago and just love it. It does citrus as well as carrots with ease. The fruit or veggies can be pretty large and it will just take it! We did have slice apples in half, but then just threw them in skin,... Read Full Review by mljackson, Jun 14, 2005
