Amazon Review Finally got it!

Finally received my watch. At first it was not delivered and Amazon kindly offered to send a replacement. Thankfully my freight forward finally managed to locate it, about a month later.

I got this watch to accompany me for my kayaking and fishing.

Anyhow, the watch works as advertised. The watch is actually lighter that it looks, though it does look rather chunky on my wrist. Chunky is good! It arrived in a "Auto Display" mode, so that means it'll be switching screens around and you won't be able to do anything else until you turn it off. Look out for a little blue instruction sheet tucked inside the manual to deactivate the auto display. Getting up and started is relatively easy, just follow the booklet and all will be over in about 10 minutes or so.

As another user has commented, its a little off from the tide readings, about an hour or so be generally still gives you a good tidal indication. Barometer and temperature works best if its not on your hand for awhile and allowing it to cool to the ambient temperature. The barometer was spot on when I got it, it rained not long after it detected a drop in barometric pressure.

Overall, would recommend for this watch for the price range that it is in. Its functions and its data gives you a good indication of weather and tide. So have fun with it, I'm off kayaking with my new toy.!

Amazon Review This watch is TOO BIG

Author's Rating:   2

When people say this watch is big.. they mean REALLY BIG HUGE. Did I mention this watch is a Gigantic Super sized.. MEGLADON? This watch makes my SUV look small. Don't try paddling a kayak with this watch on unless you like making unintentional left hand circles. Additionally, the tidal feature is worthless for the Texas coast.

Pros:  Sporty watch, but tough as nails. Practical bells and whistles for SCUBA and sailing.

Cons:  Chunky and thick. Manual doesn't have all info needed to be entered.

The Bottom Line:  null

Review:  I saw this watch on the web and I liked the features it came with. I needed something for work and play. This watch is big and sturdy; it's designed to take punishment from nature and man. Overall it's a good watch - so far. The manual did not...  Read Full Review  by core_blackhand, Aug 8, 2007

Review:  I have owned my Sea Pathfinder for a couple of years, now and I have been most impressed. I work outdoors in a salt-water environment and this watch has held up very well. I like the tide graph function and the compass feature is pretty neat, too. I...  Read Full Review  by ericlhorne, Jun 17, 2007
