Review: If you like misery, abuse and feeling like a fool; buy a DeLonghi. My units contols failed giving me a preprogramed Error Code 1&2 which requires you to call DeLonghi per the owners manual. DeLonghi said they could not tell me the meaning of the codes... Read Full Review by reliable386443, Nov 6, 2007
40 pint, No Auto Restart, Cycles on and Off
Pros: Works, but not really.
Cons: Cycles off and on continuously wasting precious energy.
The Bottom Line: No auto restart means you can't put a external timer on it. It will cycle off and on ad infinitum.
Review: This unit does remove the water from the air, at least in my 900 SQ FT home. However, like all units in this price range, it's noisy. Also, like all units in this price range, the compressor cycles off and on continuously, like every 3 minutes,... Read Full Review by dougwd61, Aug 2, 2007
Pros: The pump worked great and didn't require me to handle any messy water.
Cons: The display is hard to navigate. Only 1 year warranty, but extended for compressor.
The Bottom Line: I would buy another DeLonghi unit, but I will buy the stores warranty. The manufactures warranty is only 1 year.

I liked the fact the pump automatically emptied the water and I didn't have to remove and discard any water. The unit had a... Read Full Review by stlklk, Jun 4, 2007

Cons: Unit runs warm, and is noisier than most.
The Bottom Line: null
Review: I purchased this product for my basement and wanted the convenience of not having to empty the water pan. I found this unit to be effective in lowering the humidity in my basement, however the instructions were a bit difficult for me to figure out. All... Read Full Review by Kimberleih, Jan 27, 2007

Cons: Only one year warranty.
The Bottom Line: null
Review: I had high hopes for DeLonghi DDE400 Dehumidifier. Two years it worked fine in my cool basement. Third year it started freezing up - formed ice and kept building ice. With only one year warranty and very few service centers, it was worthless. Do not buy... Read Full Review by drwho253, Jun 5, 2006
A Perfect Antidote To My Sailboat Mold Woes
Pros: performed flawlessly for>3 years. works in low temperatures. reliable. pretty stylish for a waterbox.
Cons: hard to move when full. would've prefered secondary air or hepa filter.
The Bottom Line: A godsend for humidity woes....it may not walk on water, but certainly works well around it.
Review: I live in Alaska. Southeast, where it doesn't get TOO cold, but, until this summer, its never been what I call warm.>90% of the time, our local temp is within 15 degrees of 45 degrees F. We average about 120 inches of rain here. Its normally VERY... Read Full Review by jess_wundring, Jul 24, 2004
