See Review Does not toast even, not even close. Waste of my time!

Author's Rating:   1

Pros:  Looks nice, long slots for toasting large slices of bread

Cons:  It does NOT toast very well at all.

The Bottom Line:  Useless, if it can not do the job it was designed for, what good is it?

Review:  I had been eying this toaster for a while when I walked through this one store we always go into. I like this toaster because it looked nice, it had a bagel feature, a warm feature, and I really liked the idea that you could toast large (long) pieces of...  Read Full Review  by denardus, Jan 6, 2008

Pros:  Looks Great, has wide slots and can fit bread machine bread into a slot.

Cons:  Can't toast evenly which defeats the pros of this product. Spring action too strong.

The Bottom Line:  null

Review:  We bought one of these at Bed&Bath and brought it home. Our last toaster lasted almost 20 years and worked flawlessly till its demise. This one however refused to toast bread evenly. See Review Worth it, worth it, worth it!

Author's Rating:   5

Pros:  Easy bagel setting. Easy to read digital display. Super-easy cleaning of crumb tray.

Cons:  Pricey, although the prices have dropped since we purchased it 3 years ago.

The Bottom Line:  If you can swing the cost, it is well worth it. Getting married/committed/etc? A definite choice for your gift registry!

Review:  Okay, I'll confess: when my husband came home with the new toaster three years ago, I almost ended a 25 year marriage right then and there. A toaster that cost just under $100????"It's just TOAST!"I cried. I was so wrong. First of all, it makes...  Read Full Review  by suzie-shopper, Apr 15, 2006

See Review Too tired for toast

Author's Rating:   1

Pros:  Color

Cons:  Everything else

The Bottom Line:  null

Review:  I received my toaster a year ago Christmas. In fact, I received two! This is the worst toaster I have ever have, except for the color. The slots aren't really big enough for 4 slices, and it doesn't matter since it takes at least two cycles to toast...  Read Full Review  by sfquiet, Feb 12, 2006

See Review Worst Toaster Ever

Author's Rating:   1

Pros:  None

Cons:  Overpriced, poor quality, plasticky, doesn't work well.

The Bottom Line:  null

Review:  We have had this Kitchen Aid (blue) toaster for 2 years and it's got to be the worst. Toast is always burned on the edges, underdone at the middle. Not always been this way, but 9 times out of 10, we're cutting off the edges and eating the middle...  Read Full Review  by timaccer, Feb 2, 2006

Author's Rating:   1

Pros:  Good for toasting bagels

Cons:  Poor performance overall. Defective after 2 weeks

The Bottom Line:  null

Review:  Due to a recent poor experience with a KA blender, we made sure that we bought this from a store with a liberal return policy&#151 FORTUNATELY! It does do bagels very well, but that's about it. The racks didn't close together enough to keep sliced...  Read Full Review  by mpittscampbell, Jun 19, 2005

See Review The Best

Author's Rating:   5

Pros:  Best of the toasters in the price range

Cons:  None

The Bottom Line:  null

Review:  Very well designed. There are no projections in the toasting chamber so all crumbs fall into the crumb tray. Has a cool touch exterior. Toasts bagels and breads perfectly, but you have to study the type of bread i.e. light bread or thin slices a lower...  Read Full Review  by bettyray, Nov 30, 2004

See Review The Definitive Toaster Review

Author's Rating:   5

Pros:  Consistent results, heavy duty construction, deep slots, fast

Cons:  Pop-up is a bit loud, no extra lift feature for small pieces of bread

The Bottom Line:  I highly recommend this toaster to anyone looking for the best combination of quality, price and performance.

Review:  I recently purchased this model after doing my own consumer testing of several different (in the same price range) models: Cuisinart, T-Fal, Oster, and Krups. I toasted single pieces, full loads, bagels, different bread types. I tested each feature on...  Read Full Review  by shmopsi, Nov 1, 2004

Cons:  Inconsistent toasting, noisy, doesn't eject well

The Bottom Line:  null

Review:  I gave up my perfectly functional two-slice relic from the 70s because I wanted a four-slice model. I started with a $300 Dualit that nearly caught my kitchen on fire when the heating element timer didn't disengage during a test run. Next, I...  Read Full Review  by inamorato, Jun 25, 2004

Pros:  Loved the look

Cons:  Too high priced. Made with cheap parts. Didn't toast evenly when it did work.

The Bottom Line:  null

Review:  Made in China and you can tell. Lever won't lock down anymore. My husband and I have only used it about 90 times in the past 2 years we have had it. Author's Rating:   3

Pros:  Good looks and that's about it.

Cons:  Over-priced, uneven browning.

The Bottom Line:  null

Review:  It's a good looking toaster and that's about it. It doesn't brown four slices of bread evenly. You have to use it (mine) like a two slice toaster. Bagels come out alright, haven't tried to toast two whole bagels yet. I'm saving that thrill ride for...  Read Full Review  by effe, Jan 17, 2004
