Only 1 setting works for this thing.....Time Drying...
Pros: only one setting to fuss with and/or use looks nice...and that's it
Cons: only one setting works
The Bottom Line: null
Review: So in reference to the other user's posting; Sensor Drying...it just doesn't work no matter what. I had 2 Best Buy techs check it and verified that it is"working". They both recommended not using it. After giving up on Best Buy and going through the... Read Full Review by chunkygeek, Feb 9, 2008
Pros: Large Drying Drum. Display and setting choices are great.
Cons: STOPPED WORKING
The Bottom Line: null
Review: We purchased this Dryer 7/21/07 and 8 days later it came up with an error code of (tE1). According to the book it's a bad (THERMISTOR). It will not run. It is now 8/10 today, and it still sits there not working. First LG said that they had no one... Read Full Review by guesswhonoyb, Aug 10, 2007
Leaves Clothes Damp due to fabric softener sheets being used
Pros: Really do like the dryer. It is very easy to use and is very quite.
Cons: Leaves clothes damp. Starts off with approx. 50 min. after 20 min it stops
The Bottom Line: null
Review: We have had a problem with dryer stopping early. Called LG and they said do not use softener sheets as it confuses the sensor. I find it very hard to believe this was not discovered by their testing. I was using a fifteen year old Kenmore and it did not... Read Full Review by lgrund, Apr 15, 2007
Pros: Stylish looks, easy on clothes, a no hassle machine.
Cons: Price would be the only downside.
The Bottom Line: null
Review: What can I say, after going through Maytag hell for 4 years, this dryer is the exact opposite. Easy to use, cutting edge looks makes this a great buy. Much quieter than previous dryers I have owned. Yes it is pricey, but the top of the line anything... Read Full Review by harborbreeze, Mar 6, 2007
BEWARE! Sensing feature leaves clothes DAMP ALWAYS!
Pros: Very pretty - matches the TROMM Steamer Washer.
Cons: Sensing feature leaves clothes DAMP ALWAYS when'normal'is selected.
The Bottom Line: I expect perfection when I purchase a top-of-the-line product. I also expect top-notch customer service. LG's phone system hangs up on you after 5 mins.
Review: I purchased this dryer as a companion to the LG WM2688 Steam Washer, which is awesome, as all writers have commented. I expected the same in its companion top-of-the-line dryer. On the'normal'setting, however, I have yet to pull out anything that... Read Full Review by dienadl, Jan 31, 2007
Excellent Companion for the SteamWasher
Pros: Great features&appearance
Cons: None so far
The Bottom Line: Excellent companion for the LG SteamWasher
Review: We purchased a model DLE8377NM (Midnight Blue LG Electric Dryer) on 9/26/06 (along with an LG SteamWasher WM2688HNM) and it has performed perfectly so far. This dryer is loaded with drying programs for various types of clothing, such as permanent press,... Read Full Review by blairo58, Oct 24, 2006
LG TROMM Drying - Makes Laundry More Fun!
Pros: Looks great and works great.
Cons: Price
The Bottom Line: An excellent dryer with great looks and function. Love the load options available.
Review: We recently purchased a set of new LG TROMM washer/dryer. We decided to stack them since we have a very small laundry room and our washer has to be on the right side. The washer door is in the way of getting clothes in the dryer and not reversible. I... Read Full Review by cathyjones, Sep 19, 2006
Cuts time in half, if not more
Pros: Efficient, adjustable drying time, big
Cons: None!
The Bottom Line: null
Review: Love the fact this dryer senses when clothes are dry and adjusts drying time appropriately--a smart dryer, for sure! I'm very pleased with this set, and the dryer does a great job. It's got a huge capacity, is energy efficient, and does a great... Read Full Review by dietcokehed, Sep 10, 2006
Dries clothes quickly, partly because of the washer...
Pros: HUGE capacity, east to use, quiet, dries clothes very quickly.
Cons: Cost and availability. Very tall when stacked with washer.
The Bottom Line: null
Review: We finally got our LG dryer that had been on backorder. After doing about 6 loads of laundry today, I have a few observations. First, like the matching washer it is very quiet when in operation. The amount of noise generated having both the washer and... Read Full Review by john97, Jul 20, 2006
