When we were designing this heart rate monitor, we called it "The Basic." Real simple. A few special features that you don't need to use if you don't want to. Continuous heart rate display.
One heart rate zone. You select a high and a low heart rate. The watch beeps outside the zone, and at the end of a workout, tells you how long you were able to stay in the zone.
Also shows average heart rate at the end of a workout. A simple stopwatch. Tells the time and date.
Safe in a swimming pool. The watch and the chest strap both have a battery hatch, so you can change the battery yourself..

I had a polar monitor that continually would not register in mid-workout. In contrast, I have not had a single problem with the Nike Triax (so far, one month). Additionally, the Nike watch allows the buyer to change the batteries themself, but the Polar monitors do not-one has to send it in to Polar when the battery inevitably wears out.
