Micropedic Therapy Pillow - Goodbye Stiff Neck!

Every morning, I’ve been waking up with a stiff neck in a pile of expensive but useless pillows. Well, no more. I finally found a pillow that doesn’t leave my neck sore in the morning, the Homedic Micropedic Therapy Pillow.

Naturally, I am a stomach sleeper but I’ve been trying sleep on my side more often these days. I’ve bought and tried many traditional pillows with varying materials and firmness. I even tried the Tempur-Pedic pillow for a while but hated the shape of the pillow. With all of these pillows, I would toss, turn, re-position and fold the pillows during the course of the night. Worse of all, I would still wake up with neck and shoulder stiffness.

A couple of weeks ago, I was in a hotel watching late night TV and saw a Tony Little infomercial promoting the Micropedic Pillow. First off, Tony Little scares the hell out of me. He was always a strange looking fellow with the spandex clothing, long hair and yelling “You can do it!” But he looks especially creepy these days as he gets older.

Tony was pitching the pillow and showing off the micropedic beads…

“No more tossing and turning! HoMedics fills the MicroPedic Pillow with over 60 million air-infused micropedic beads… beads enveloping your head in comfort, cradling your neck and spine. The patented Quad Chamber design self fluffs for a soft support no matter where you lay your head, hips, even knees.”

After watching some of the infomercial, I said to myself… self, what the heck, let’s give it a try. It can’t be any worse than your current pillows. So I looked it up online and found it for less than $40 on Amazon, which is cheap compared to the other pillows I’ve tried.

I’ve been using the Micropedic Therapy Pillow for the last several weeks and I’ve very happy with it. As I stated earlier, I don’t wake up with a stiff neck anymore! The pillow itself is very firm compared to down pillows or the Tempur-Pedic pillow. The micropedic beads comfort and cushion your head nicely and my neck alignment is better too. The pillow has the feel of a bean bag but denser because the beads are smaller, which also gives it a gel like feel.

The pillow does take some time to get used to due to the firmness. I love it because it was relatively cheap and got rid of my stiff neck in the morning. I’m not sure if it’s for everyone, particularly those who like soft, plush pillows. Check out the Amazon reviews and judge for yourself. The standard pillow is relatively small (15” x 22”) and could be a little larger but that’s my only complaint.

Until someone produces a mattress with a hole it in like a massage table, where I can sleep peacefully on my stomach, I’m sticking with my Micropedic Therapy Pillow!
